Informations for customers from Germany

VAT

  • If you order from Germany, our shop software automatically adds a VAT rate of 19% to the product price. This corresponds to the German VAT rate.

Postage

  • Swiss Franc CHF is the base currency in our shop. This sometimes results in odd numbers for postage in euros. We keep an eye on the exchange rate and adjust the postage costs if necessary.
  • We charge for all deliveries to Germany approx. 6.90 EUR per order, whereby we have no influence on exchange rate fluctuations.
  • Small items such as labels (up to for 4 units) or buttons (up to 20 pieces) will be shipped for 2.00 EUR without tracking and uninsured. We are furthermore able to send out ONE pattern or ONE magazine in an envelope for around 4,70 EUR. Please understand that if you need several patterns or magazines the standard shipping rate applies. The weight of large envelopes is rather limited.
  • From an order value of about 130 EUR we take over the postage. Important also here: We have no influence on exchange rate fluctuations.
  • All shipping costs are clearly communicated to you in the shopping cart system and on the order page.
  • For digital contents (plotter files etc.) there are of course no shipping costs, but taxes.

Delivery Steps

  • We collect the parcels with destination EU in our studio and – depending on the number of parcels – usually deliver several times a week.
  • The goods are sent as a collective shipment through the German customs, are registered according to regulations and imported into the EU.
  • From then on, the goods are forwarded with DHL.
  • Parcels weighing over 2kg are taken over by Hermes.
  • This approach has two objectives: There are no unforeseen costs for our EU customers, such as customs duties, taxes or fees, as the goods have already been properly recorded. In addition, the actual postage is reduced again as a result of the collective shipment.
  • If you should receive smaller goods such as buttons or labels by letter, the information for the dispatch handling does not apply. As soon as we have posted the letter, it cannot be traced. Although losses by mail are extremely rare, we would like to point out that this cheaper option is uninsured. Please also note that delivery times via the letter channel vary considerably. From 3 days to 10 days for the route Switzerland – Germany everything is possible.

Informations for customers from the other parts of the EU

VAT

  • If you order from the European Union (EU), our shop software automatically adds a VAT rate of 19% to the product price. This corresponds to the German VAT rate and is also displayed if you order from another EU country (e.g. Austria or Luxembourg). This is correct, as we pay the corporate tax (representing all countries) to Germany when selling to the EU.

Postage

  • Swiss Franc CHF is the base currency in our shop. This sometimes results in odd numbers for postage in euros. We keep an eye on the exchange rate and adjust the postage costs if necessary.
  • We charge for all deliveries to EU approx. 9.90 EUR per order, whereby we have no influence on exchange rate fluctuations.
  • Small items such as labels (up to for 4 units) or buttons (up to 20 pieces) will be shipped for 2.00 EUR without tracking and uninsured. We are furthermore able to send out ONE pattern or ONE magazine in an envelope for around 4,70 EUR. • The goods are sent as a collective shipment through the German customs, are registered according to regulations and imported into the EU.
  • From then on, the goods are forwarded within the EU to the respective state postal company.
  • Parcels weighing over 2kg are often delivered by private delivery partners. In Benelux countries for example DPD takes over, in France Colissmo. In Austria, on the other hand, the large cartons are also delivered by the state postal service.
  • This approach has two objectives: There are no unforeseen costs for our EU customers, such as customs duties, taxes or fees, as the goods have already been properly recorded. In addition, the actual postage is reduced again as a result of the collective shipment.
  • The postage details listed in the shop to the EU are therefore not only made up of the pure dispatch within the EU, but also cover a bit of our effort up to the border and the import of all goods.
From 3 days to 10 days for the route Switzerland – Germany or Switzerland – Austria everything is possible.
