Tea House Top and Dress – this is perhaps the most unusual dress pattern that was launched in recent years. The design was developed by US-American indie label Sew House Seven. We love the Asian look, the unusual shape, the dolman sleeves and the patch pockets.
Vary the length of the Tea House, use a wide tie, a narrow one or skip the tie completely.
We know from experience that the choice of material changes the whole look. Pick wovens with a nice drape and the garment looks soft and very feminine. Use quilting cotton and emphasize the characteristic pattern features.
The particularly beautiful variant in long, however, requires a lot of fabric. So when you buy fabric, plan a little more than the usual two meters. In return you get a unique dress.
As the pattern doesn’t come with a zipper or a button placket, it is also suitable for beginners.
Sizes: US 00 – 20 (corresponds to EU 30 – 50, whereby we always recommend to compare your measurements with the table)
Skill level: Beginner
Recommended fabric: woven fabric (please no knit fabric, otherwise the front will get distorted – we’ve learned that the hard way.)
Machine recommendation: Can be sewn with a sewing machine.
