Faux Suede Elbow Patches Cappuccino

In earlier times, tweed jackets and blazers were worn for decades. The valuable garments were often inherited. Since there was a certain amount of wear and tear, the most exposed areas were reinforced. For example, leather patches were sewn onto the elbows. Today the jackets don’t have to endure so much anymore, but the look of these ‘Elbow Patches’ still fascinates us. You can also embellish your jacket or blazer with classic faux suede patches!

One unit contains two patches measuring 14 x 9.5 cm, which have an adhesive layer on one side. When ironed on, the glue liquefies and the patches bond to the fabric base. In addition, the patches also have standardized rows of holes so that you can sew them on with coarser thread. This is recommended anyway, otherwise there is a danger that the glue will come off after a certain time.

The format of the patches is suitable for both men’s and women’s projects.

Important note: Remember that it is almost impossible to sew the elbow patches with the machine after closing the arm seams. Either you do this step after stitching (to be able to check the position) or you hand sew them yourself.
