Our new Shapes collection is the brainchild of Anne Bomio. The designer has been with us since the beginning of Hello Heidi and designs fantastic fabrics with and for us year after year.
Shapes consists of two variations, a large geometric pattern (Shapes) and a millefleurs design (Flower Shapes).
Each design is available in three colourways: Black, Blue and Blush.
By the way, the print base is made of a so-called ‘Cotton Sateen’. Sateen is a technical term for fabrics that have been mercerised. This is the name given to a finishing step in which the cotton is deliberately soaked in a lye. This causes the fibres to swell, making their surface denser. This in turn leads to a glossy effect that is so typical of this fabric quality. The pre-treatment has another positive effect: the printed image appears clearer, the colours shine more intensely (not in the sense of garish, but in the sense of luxurious) than with normal woven fabrics.
This makes the Shapes fabrics perfect for dresses, blouses and skirts.
