Burnside Bibs – these are comfortable and stylish dungarees from the USA. The width of the trousers is regulated by the tie, which in turn is attached to the shoulder straps. You decide whether your bibs are casual or chic. Sew a linen fabric and combine the trousers with sandals, or experiment with silky Tencel and wear the trousers with heels.
There are two bib options: round or square. The bibs can also be realized in two ways. Variant 1 has bottom darts and an invisible side zipper. The waist bands are mainly used for decorative purposes. Version 2 does not have a “real” closure. One slips into the trousers and adjusts the fabric over the tie bands.
Many seamstresses prefer this version because it is more unusual and characteristic for the trousers. From experience, however, we know that women with more pronounced buttocks (which, by the way, is size-independent!) find variant 1 more flattering. If, on the other hand, you dream of a somewhat fuller back, you should definitely choose variant 2. (Yes, this kind of information is rather unusual, but we think that this is exactly the information that matters.)
By the way, you can combine all pattern options to your personal liking.
