Beechwood Tailor’s Clapper

A Tailor’s Clapper is a professional tool for ironing.

A good clapper is always made of hardwood, in this case beech. You iron a seam that has just been sewn and press the clapper directly onto the seam. The wood ensures that the heat from ironing remains in the fabric. Result: ultra-flat and accurately ironed seams.

The attached point presser is also made of beechwood and is perfect for ironing collar elements.
