Baltic Washed Linen Blackberry

Remember BALTIC WASHED LINEN. This linen fabric has come to stay. At Hello Heidi Fabrics we have a fantastic selection of linen-based fabrics year after year, but until now much of it has come from overseas.

We were keen to change that, especially as there is a major European flax growing area in the Baltics. We have now succeeded in finding a manufacturer who carries a fantastic quality in a wonderful range of colours.

‘Our’ Baltic Washed Linen comes from Lithuania and is made of 100% linen. The fabric is pleasantly soft and skin-friendly because it has been intensively washed directly after weaving. This is a finishing step that is often applied to flax-based fabrics to make the linen fibre, which is somewhat rigid in itself, supple.

By the way: With a square metre weight of 200g, this type of fabric is perfect for dresses, skirts, tops, etc.
